This is my first time ever having chicks and I am doing so through my broody. Yesterday as I was making my broody hens coop was clean I noticed a hard yellowish tint funky growth on one of the eggs that was not there the day prior. Is it ok? I candled the egg and it is growing and moving. It is unbelievably hot and I'm doing what I can, I just hope the eggs aren't cooking!

It sounds like an egg cracked and yolk is oozing out. I would inspect it with a magnifying glass and if the egg is cracked, maybe consider tossing it out. Bacteria is likely to enter through a crack and that would be bad for a developing chick.

Others may have differing opinions so don't do anything on my post alone.
