edited to say: I didn't quarantine before when I knew where the birds were coming from....my mistake, probably, but it worked out just fine. My flock is healthy and good. Some people will say that EVERY bird needs to be. If a bird comes from my dad's house and I've seen them every week or so and everyone looks good, I may just do a day or two. Im certainly not going to harp on you for not keeping him separate. You and I know he was healthy. The transition will bring on the sniffles sometimes. I have a mottled quad I just got and, after a week, the sniffles started. I put some tetracycline in the water and everyone is doing fine. ...should've started with cider vinegar
Good Luck, Kaylee and if it turns out you need something stronger than the cider vinegar, I have some tetracycline leftover from the mottleds.
