Funny Duck Behavior Question

Sweet! Well now we have a little more info on her!
Any way to tell how old she is?

She definitely has a loud high pitched quack/bark. Much more like my female ancona than my drake. Is it normal for them to bark along with the dogs? We have a ton of dogs in our neighborhood and a lot of people walking up and down the street. When the dog chorus starts ChaCha starts right in, but it's actually a bark not a quack. It's pretty hilarious, I should get a video.

She also does this other weird thing, she puts her head straight out forward and gives me this kinda creepy dead stare. She will stand like that, completely unmoving, no matter what I do, I can walk circles around her and she just stares. I thought it might be some sort of submissive thing, but it would be nice to know, it's definitely a creepy stare.

And just for fun, some other pictures of ChaCha cause I'm officially a crazy duck lady

The bow just made me LOL. I wish one of my ducks was this people oriented LOL I can already visualize the duckling clothing I would want to make

She's hypnotizing you :)
-Insert creepy music- It places the food in front of the duck. It does this whenever it's told. The human spoils the duck..........the human is the duck slaveeeee.

I tried to get my goose that friendly, but she just wasn't interested. I think it's totally individual personality! Keep raising ducks and one day you will have one! I'm having a blast making little outfits for her.

Oh great, she's a voodoo duck! Just what we need! I already have a rabbit that I'm pretty sure is plotting the demise of my entire family. She sits at the window staring into the house (she lives outside) even though the curtains are drawn, so when you pull back the curtains and look out she is staring maniacally into the house with her creepy little dead eyes...

Oh no, Don't put the duck and the rabbit together you might just have more on your hands then creepy little stalker rabbit peeking threw windows and a duck that follows you around and cocks its head to the side and stares you down for treats.

On another note, Much like what you are saying on how your duck looks at you. We have a couple of ducks. And I said to one. "Oh you're just a little fatty" I swear that duck turned its head. Cocked its neck to the side. And gave me the murderous hairy eye ball. It was hysterical. Just grazing along someone calls it fat and It turns into the slasher duck.

I am dying to know how often you have to change the duckie diapers (or gosling) and how nasty that is. One of my ducklings cuddled up on my shoulder tonight (with a towel) for an hour and watched tv. He/she managed to poop the towel 3x. While it was enormously endearing I wonder how much ookie there is considering they seem to need to poo every 15 minutes LOL

To be fair;........you called her "fattie fattie bootalattie" I'd give you the death stare too! Not that she doesnt' deserve it of course :p

The babies take a LOT of diaper changes. Every 15 minutes sounds about right. It's better not to diaper them overnight if possible.
With ChaCha being full grown, she get's changed first thing in the morning, she eats breakfast in the bathtub without a diaper, clean diaper for the morning, then eats again in the afternoon in the tub without a diaper,, clean diaper for the evening, then one last change before bed. She usually gets an hour in the tub during "meal times", if we cut it short then she needs an extra change. She has access to fodder and water all day, just gets pellets at meal time since they are super messy. Sometimes I find little pieces of fodder around the house but it's just a blade of grass so we don't mind.

Oh wow I don't think I have the stamina for that many diaper changes LOL It might be nice on occasion to cuddle watching TV but I do have dogs for that function

I'm quite allergic to furry animals so I like my feathered friends =) ChaCha is a real handful, but I love her to death!
We went out town for a few days for our anniversary and had to get a pet sitter, the reactions to "would you pet sit my house duck who wears a diaper and sleeps in the bed with me" were pretty entertaining. I still like the reactions she gets when she rides in the car the best though. Usually cute kids pointing out the window haha.
