Funny noise

I have 6 babies. Well they’re going on 6 weeks now. It’s been cold so they are still in house. Anyway, I’ve notice for a couple of weeks a few of them when lying down make this thumping sound. At first it was only one, then I noticed a couple others do it as well. It’s so weird.

No they aren’t throwing the bedding when they were doing that I had to explain to my husband why they were throwing bedding on their backs lol

I have 4 older hens so I know what dust bathing looks like. Last week it looked like one of my orpington chicks was having a seizure. I rushed over and she stops and looks up at me. That's when I figured out what she was doing. I gave them something to bath in.
Don't tell anyone. It's embarrassing. LOL!

I can't think of a reason why they would be thumping.
