Funny story about our rooster..

Our rooster is from our grandparents broody hen and the father is a rooster from the neighbours that flew into their chicken pen and so our roosters parents are them but we are thinking of taking the rooster because my uncle isn't looking after it properly, I was just wondering, would our rooster remember that rooster (being his dad and all) Would they fight? Thanks, there's also another white chicken that we're taking, the broody hen (which is black) died a while back from old age - she was pretty old. Anyway our rooster hasn't seen his dad in about a year just wondering if he would remember and if we brought him he would fight with him?

Chooks have very short memories like me at times lol
How old are the roosters and what breed
All chickens have to be integrated slowly at first as they could fight
The amount they fight depends on the breed and age

I have no idea what breed or age the rooster up at my grandparents is, it just flew into the pen one day and decided to have babies with one of the hens! It was fully grown when we had him, the neighbours never knew my grandparents had their rooster!

My mum has come up with an idea, to put a fence through the middle of our chicken run, the run is about 10x8 (from what my mum said) so its pretty big and we would build another chicken coop for them on the other side of the fence, each side of the run would be big enough for a lot of chickens, we only have 4 ISA Browns and I think our rooster is a rhode island white, (he looks like one anyway) our rooster is probably a year and a half, ( just an estimation)

It is very likely that they will fight. If the fence through the middle of the pen is wire, they will "fence fight" and still manage to bloody one another up.

They won't fight if they can't see one another. I have roosters with a common fence and on one side I just put up a lightweight tarp...used clothespins, and just pinned it to the fencing. I've even used a very thin table cloth...those plastic kind that you get at a party store for about a dollar.
