Funny use for grits

If you have fire ants (you do if you live in Texas.) sprinkle grits until the entire mound is covered white. In a few days they will go away.

Im sorry, I meant grits as in we eat. I had big fire ant hills near my coop and they are dead now.

Wait a sec, something that you ingest will kill the almost industructible fireant! I think thats great, I also think, knowing this, you should really think about eating grits in the future.

By the way , is this cooked? If so , butter and salt added?

No just sprinkle on it. It is also very good for the enviroment. I didn't believe the little old lady who told me this but it is true.

The way it works is that after they eat the grits they swell and kill the ants.

I'm a Yankee and I eat grits!...must be something in my background there....Mike likes his with cinammon, sugar and butter. I like mine with butter and salt and DH doesn't like them at all.
Nice to know that something gets rid of those darned things.
