I picked up 6 more chicks yesterday. Heaven help me they are like feather covered crack! Anywho, these are all very colorful, and have feathery feet, but I have 3 brahmas, and they are not brahmas. Also, one has a cute little tuft on her (his) head, like a crew cut kinda. No pics yet, but I am working on it. Any guesses?? What other breeds have the feathered feet?

The crew cut sounds like silkie

Skin color?
# of toes?

Feet are grey, three toes. Feathers look hand painted, seriously. I have looked at tons of pics and they are no where NEAR as furry as silkies. They are about 5-6 weeks and his haircut looks military, no kidding. High and tight...lol. I will get pics soon.

probably a polish

eta- does this one with the crest have feathered legs too?

yeah, that is why I asked, caught on after I posted.
If the feather footed one is crested the only breed I can think of is a Sultan

OK, the first one is the very colorful bird with the furry feet. BTW, I do trim wings as my run only has a 4 foot fence and I don't want them to get over it. So, the full coloring isn't there anymore.

The second pic is the crew cut bird, no furry feet.

Third pic is a grooup pic of them huddled up. You might make out the different colors on the set.

Fourth is another pic of crew cut standing on her friends. Who needs enemies??

Thanks for any input!

Rob
