Freedom Village when I worked there was a seriously snotty retirement home. Rich people. Later they added an assisted living area. But the village itself was just a fancy 7 story apt/condo complex.

Where I deliver the press to now, there are both facilities there as well. This independant side they were the black and white with apron. The assisted side is just served by the staff on duty, and a dietary aide that brings the carts over from the main kitchen on the other side.

Hi, Robin! (Sorry - had to leave for a few hours...working on helping to pick the pictures for the 2013 BYC calendar - some awesome entries to be sure!). What time do you think you'll be up at FF?

I LOVE Goodwill - DH and I stop in a couple times a month. I keep hoping to find a pressure canner, but nada as of yet. Also, someone told me I should think about getting an electric egg steamer - not sure I've ever even seen one before, but I've been scouting for that, too.

My three new chicks died.

I went out to move them to the brooder and mama had smashed them all.

I feel like an idiot. No more chicks for her, I'm putting her in the chicken tractor so I can keep track of her and she won't hide from me again.

I'm going to put 5 eggs under my White Cochin bantam though. To ease the sadness, and because she'd be cute with babies. Hoping they all hatch, especially the one that is actually hers.

I'm sorry! Hope your Cochin banty does a great job for you, though!

lol................ lol..................I'm the ultimate tightwad of the bunch. I like going to the goodwill and the love inc. I only have 3 things in my closet i bought new, and that was yeeeeears ago. The goodwill in allendale (Just down the road from the intersection we met at, Nova) is a particular treasure-trove, because it's right down the road from the college. EXPENSIVE rich people college. So there are mall brands galore Love inc is not far from that, and has ladies jeans around $3!!!

For the butt issue, i have one word BOOTCUT. I also have a thing for guy's jeans. Not old guy big butt jeans, but the college guy jeans. I can walk up to any pair of my size, and chances are they fit. And they don't get longer as they get bigger. Honestly, what are the ladies companies thinking? Bootcut, whether in guy or girl is always roomier in the back. My favorite pair is a pair of hollisters i got cheap. I have found that i have gappage too if i have any other cut, unless they are stretchy and that's no good because then the guys think i'm trying to impress them. Geesh.

My sis swears by Old Navy.

Well, I just hit the library to put a book on hold. I didn't know it was out till I went to Meijer this morning to get printer ink... Would any one like to give a guess as to how many holds there are on the book? It is Mark of Athena.... I know... teenager book, but they are really very entertaining books...

So, anyway, we get home from picking up the kid from school, hitting the library only to find there are 314 holds on this book. I go to get the eggs, and with the daylight hours changing, some of the girls are laying later and later in the day. There are 3 birds in the nest boxes. They aren't flattened out to brood, but pushing. And what do I find in the coop? One of the neighbors BO's. missing her tail. Its been ripped off or plucked out, but I am thinking ripped off. There is nothing there, not a single tail feather. A RIR/RSL also. In the under run area there 9 more of his birds. LOL. I am not sure if anyone left a deposit yet. Going to have to ask him about the BO. The RIR/SL now, she is a heavy thing! I had to get her out of the summer coop because she is so stupid that she got stuck behind the door. Totally freaked out spastic. Her comb was pretty beat up. I think my GLW did it. My young hen is not a nice girl at all. She loves to go after the chicks, but she runs like hello when Criptoe goes after her for even looking cross ways at her babies. So, might have to tell him about that just in the event that blue kote needs to be applied. Stupid birds.. I mean, smart birds. They come to visit, raid my feeders and then make deposits of eggs and poop. They can keep the poop and leave the eggs...

How the heck does she hatch the eggs with out smushing them, but then brings them home and smushes them... Was she maybe trying to get another hen or hens away and trampled them in the process? Sorry bout your chicks though... Really sucks.

I would not be surprised if this lived at your house Kim.... HEHE. I just found this on another.... um.... place, and I thought, I gotta show this to the Queen Uggo Maker... LOL
