I have had lice too many times in my life. (my cousins had birds and they constantly had lice. Anytime I played with them... I got it)
So far no bugs here!

I've had them as an adult, terrible things! Can't sleep! Bird lice and people lice are different, though, but bird lice will go on people who are lice magnets...............I have a thick head of hair, and if there are even a few lice on my birds one will crawl up! Eeeeek! So i am fussy with mine. I hope the hat did the trick!

I put her in a cage and she is laying on her side, with one leg stretched out. I hope she makes it.
I am going to clean up her head and put neosporin on it.

You gotta give her penicillin shots asap! Predetor species seem to carry nasty bacteria on their claws! She is probably in shock and may have had a stroke. Giving antibiotics is still your best shot, if she makes the night. Keep her warm, and try to do what you can to bring her out of the shock, see if she looks "with it" at all? One leg out is what mine did right before she had her heart attack, though

Silver, if TTT is the light one with the blue tail, definitely boy! Girls have short blunt saddle feathers, not long and pointy!

I second nova on the hormone thing though. Roos always have them, no matter how sweet before puberty! Your little d'uccle will get them in due time as well! I think he's the cutest thing, and i am partial to roos myself. I love my hens, but a tame roo is something else.........

Yeah the lil quail made my heart warm ... just hope he does ok i hear they are susceptible to cold etc a lot easier .... gonna go find some baby quail food in the morning just really didnt expect those eggs to hatch at all and i do believe i have another rock n rolling ...
