Fuzzy's Farm

Kim, I am glad you can bring your mom to her home. Aging and sick parents are so hard... I keep you in my thoughts.

I'd give you all the eggs you want if you were this side of the state. Have 7 dozen on the counter right now... Scrambled 2 doz yesterday for the birds, then they gave me 13 more! I am not complaining, but dang! They must have been laying in the yard somewhere...

nope. my birds are NOT- I have searched everywhere. I have stalked them. They are ornamental so they just lay when they want to anyhow. Two of them- my older frizzle and my sizzle are the oldest two, so they are best just to use as broody girls. They earned the right. The other two- Bird and Chicken Little...young serama and OEGB,,they just pretended to be layers when they were with Robin..lol.Same with the young frizzle from Robin. And the Showgirl says she wants light to lay. The others are still figuring out if they are boys or girls...however, I am pretty sure two are boys. Maybe three.
I do believe I heard a crow this morning. *sigh*

Sorry, been hanging on cl. looking for cars! and googling recipes, by the image! And looking for a trailer, possibly. There was a freebie here in coopersville, but the lot rent is 450!!! and it was cute but so small that it was only a 1 BR! There is one in Standale for 100, 300 lot rent, and one in cedar for sale, and that lot rent is only 212! That one has an addition built on to the front room.........Hmmmm. Big aviary space??? Huge drive, unless i transfer to the cedar springs branch to work. But i'd be close to mom and sis could come, but mom won't house the chickens :(
Only coopersville is close enough for keeping all the chickens :(

I can't find a rent to own without needing a few grand down :( Or that isn't in the heart of the city where if you fart the neighbors know; i'm pretty sure chickens aren't allowed there!
The others are still figuring out if they are boys or girls...however, I am pretty sure two are boys.
you are the only one i know that can turn a girl into a boy..............lol.

Yay!!! Noodle has been laying one egg a day I have gotten 5 eggs in 6 days!!!

They have gotten lighter in color. More of an olive than tan... they look blue in this picture though.

This one shows color much better!!! RaZ's eggs are to the left and my 5 are to the right!!!
They are so beautiful!!!
My son is obsesed with wanting to hatch them (me too) LOL

Morning everyone.

Gigi, Daphne is a mille fleur d'uccle

Nova, Pippi isn't scared of Daphne. She was hovering around me loving up my legs and the other cats came along to do that, too, and she decided to get some love from the side of the house. Daphne just happened to walk over there as I was following her at that time. LOL All my barn cats a re cool with the chickens.

Kim, nice to see you.

Two years ago, my kids were being absolutely rotten with each other so I told them no Christmas until they could start acting better. They didn't believe me initially, but the longer I didn't put up the tree or shop, the more they knew I meant business. It's amazing the results you get from all out refusal to indulge them with gifts. LOL

The last wyandotte hen from my original flock, Vonna, died in the nest box... I looked her over for injuries, couldn't see anything. Turned her over looked at her belly and her vent, and her vent was protruding... She was stiff, but her belly was still warm, and she was still warm under her wings... So... I am thinking two things could have happened... Prolapse killed her... or Florus went to mate her, Rod Stewart had a fit, they got into a fight, and she ended up dead... BUT, again, there are no injuries to her, no scratches on her back, no wounds to her face... I don't know. Florus and Rod Stewart are neither one bleeding anywhere... So, I think I might eliminate that one... So could have a prolaspe killed her that quickly? She's only 20 months old... Very healthy and active up till I just found her at 3:15...
