Fuzzy's Farm

One of my millie roos may not make the night, he caught a chill and his comb was deathly pale. (He got damp) :( I let them out the other day, they wouldn't go back into their house when it started raining. Too wild. :( DH is spending the night out there, going hunting tomorrow. So he is warm and watching TV, DH says he looks perkier already. (I also got him to drink some fruit punch, all i had and i thought the sugar couldn't hurt) Poor little stubborn guy.

I must be one of the weird bunch... I love to hear my roosters crowing. Each one is so different. My beautiful Florus has started crowing at night now too. He was just crowing in the morning very early, a deep crow. Not peircing high pitched. Not the big loud music crow of Mr. Fluffers. Rod Stewart is pretty close to how Mr. Fluffers was, but he's got a silkie's raspiness right at the end. LOL. I miss Fibber's crow. He had the best crow off all after Mr. Fluffers. Well anyway, I can tell who is who and where they are coming from. LOL.

Those fairy babies are darling! Silver sent me a psychi message telling me she didn't want them and that I should get them instead. (totally kidding!)(I am not psychic.)(Well I do see ghosts)(I also hear things)(Oh wait, thats not true)(The voices told me to tell you I was kidding)

SO! Back to the regularly scheduled program...

Morning BobBry...

Robin, seems to be working! Thanks for telling me what to get.

Kim! How is your Mama?

Fuzzy... How's your little turd? I mean bird?

Nice of you to drop in for a visit MsB! We were missing our first resident kiddo!

One of my favorite cookie recipes This recipe came out of my great- grand mothers box

Anise cookies
3 eggs
1 cup sugar 2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tbs. anise seed

Beat eggs until very light. Add sugar slowly, beating well. Continue beating on slow speed for several minutes, stirring down several times.
Sift flour with baking powder, then add Anise seed. Add to egg mixture. Beat at low speed for 5 minutes. Drop about one inch apart on baking sheets that have been greased and lightly floured. Let stand overnight to dry out.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield 5 dozen.

I usually double the recipe and if not enough cookie sheets I put on tinfoil than take up any spare space I can find to let stand. I let the batter drop from a teaspoon for about a two inch drop. They will bake up to a nice white crust on top, with a golden cake like bottom.
