Fuzzy's Farm

Lots of coffee and ibuprofin for me this AM, we didn't stay up the whole night. Thank goodness!

So now the holiday is over i'm thinking about that bookstore, Nova :) I want to see if they have the book by suze orman or the other guy.

My resolution and goal this year other than getting a better understanding of how to get the most out of my money is to improve my social skills :) I will start my walking back up in the spring, i have done it that way the last couple years and though i have never gone to a gym i have to say it's free, and i really enjoy watching the earth wake up and the different flowers opening as the months progress. :) I don't do leisure walking though, i go as fast as i'm able and i've worked myself up to being able to do an hour and a half of it; but when i'm done i definitely hit the chair. lol. I can't run because my poor knees are creaky enough already!

hi mom :)

I wish i could help you with your roo, but i just had to have DH put a couple of my boys down because i didn't have a way to provide winter water for them :( I cried a bunch over it, i loved those boys. I couldn't find homes quick enough, and they were still chipper but watching them when i brought water in the evenings.... made me cry too.

My coop is full to capacity right now though, and i have the EE trio, the porcelain d'uccle trio, and my EE babies which amount to 3-4 hens and 1-2 little roos; so basically 3 trios and tight winter quarters, getting along well is crucial.

The coop birds have a heated water source, so they are doing well. The coop roos get along together, but the millie d'uccles didn't get along with the coop roos, probably because they wanted hens and i didn't have hens for them. :(

Maurice the d'uccle roo has definitely claimed my hope ( the porcelain roo and my cocoa's last baby) :D In the evenings when i do the coop the EE babies are all lined up next to the d'uccles, hope and maurice are always side by side. (They are only a little bigger than him; but i don't think he knows that they are still growing!) LOL I am not going to discourage him, it's sweet and he is a sweet rooster and hasn't shown any agression at all except to go after the neighbors rooster when he wandered into my yard when the birds were ranging.

I wish that the little roosters weren't so loud, if they were quieter than they could simply be taken indoors.

time for coco wheats!

I am joining the gym tomorrow. Going to go to planet fitness. I am going to drop my boy off at school, and on Mon, Wed, Fri, go straight to the gym with my sister who is working at rebuilding up her stamina. She gets winded still very quickly because of the lung damage and the muscle loss. Anyway, and then on the other 2 days, will go and do a bit of cardio only before heading off to work myself. My resolution? To shock the poop out of you all by Chickenstock. Yup.

Anyway. Work was an ok one this morning. My little plug in heater took a crap, pulled out the electric blanket, and oh man! Perfect! Yup...

:D i have lazy man's cocoa wheats, the flavored instant ones ( the cinnabun ones, can't find the apple ones) Good stuff!

glad the drunks didn't drive you off the road! There were a lot of drunks, idiots, and angry hurried people trying to get home as quick as possible to get their "drunk on" yesterday evening; sealed the deal for us staying home!!!

Isabelle, my silkie, is a broody! She's been sitting on her nest for 3 days, now.

She doesn't have any eggs in that nest, though.

Sure would be cool if she would hatch eggs, though. Maybe spring?

Happy new year everybody!

It snowed all day yesterday, and the babies made sure I knew it was my fault, and that now their feet are cold, and now they are all angry and can't go under mama because I need to cuddle them to make up for making it snow on them. And there was hardly any snow in their pen.

Potato has brainwashed them. I started kicking their mom out when I feed them, and letting Potato in. They went from skittish to running out to greet me within a week. Potato's funny though, I think she's not sure if she's supposed to be their mom or their sibling. They all love each other though, its adorable when they start following Potato around, all in a line. <3
