BYFM, there is always the laundrymat. Those huge side washers are awsome, you can get 5 loads done all at once!!! I used to use them and i liked that much better, only 2 hours doing laundry instead of all day!

You will make it, and you will have more peace in your personal life.

If nothing else, i think you will enjoy getting your family back to yourself!

This whatever-it-is I have is driving me crazy. I'm fine, I'm icky, I'm fine, I'm icky. Gah, body, just pick something already. Currently feeling somewhat okay, but still have to eat plain stuff or my stomach hurts. Oh, and I had to go get my DD from school and learned that some scent flowing out of my heater vents does not agree with me.

yep its this weird flu. Same thing happened to me. I was just as frustrated as I was, sick. Especially when the people around you are like,"Um, you were fine yesterday"...yeah I know- thanks for pointing that out. Hope you feel better soon, Tee!

My Tiffany's boyfriend is SOOOOOOOOOOO excited about the quail eggs in the incubator. Nice to share with someone. Its just every day stuff to my teens, but I think its rare to have a sixteen year old boy show such an interest. The showgirl eggs I put in are developing! My older showgirl is Chicken Littles' favorite hen. So Serama/Showgirl mixes. I shared those with Eric, Tiffs bf. Cant candle the quail eggs so this way he can watch the development. I gathered TWO of Birds eggs. I hope they are fertile. Shes an OEGB. If I get chicks from her and CL, it will help buffer the sadness of giving up CL. I just put them in yesterday, so they will be my late hatches. I would have done them at the same time, but she wasnt laying. And she only is laying every other day.

Robin- its supposed to be COLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD when I come visit. I hate cold. Must find a way to keep me warm or I will be no fun. I will be curled up in a ball, frozen.Scare the sun and make it warm up on Saturday.

Kim...Were you able to get a ramp for your mom? I still have that ramp... None of it is in the ground, it is up on blocks.
I want some quail!!!... But we will have to see how this job situation works out.

BF called his friend (the dad-TD) and told him again why we were asking for more money and if they could give us anything more it would help out. TD pretty much told him he was trying to squeeze blood from a rock... there just is no more to give.
And through this experience TD learned something that I have known for a long time... BF has no empathy what-so-ever. He can't see other peoples problems... only his own.
The mom (TM) and I had a talk this morning because I think I have found something I can do from home, while the kids are here, or after dinner and still make that extra money needed.
I am applying to be a website content writer. I am good at writing... I enjoy writing... and I know how to pander to customers.
TM explained that TD's ex is their next choice for watching the kids... Here is the kicker... Ex is expecting a baby in July and TM is expecting in Sept... That would be 2 infants, one 21 month old, two 4yo,13yo, and 11yo at her house at any one time... INSANE!!!
I am disappointed that they jumped right to another person instead of trying to work something out with me. I am sure they panicked as am I, now.

I don't have any yet, I'm waiting for my chicken coop to arrive. I'm not sure what kind yet, I want laying hens about 12 and a rooster. We live in south Mississippi so it gets very hot here in the summer. I was going to get pullets but everyone keeps saying how much fun it is to raise baby chicks... Sooo??? Any input will be appreciated!!

I just made me the kickenest (I know, not a word, but it is now, cuz I made it up) coffee. You start with a 20oz cup. Boiling water, a tablespoon instant coffee (to lazy to make a pot today), a tablespoon of chocolate milk powder (I use the meijer brand) and a pour of caramel vanilla cream (again, meijer brand)... Mix it all up, and drink with a spoon until it is cool enough to drink from the cup... Only thing missing is whipped cream. LOL

Robin... got the oddest thing going with Beulah with the high stepping... Think it could be from the leg mite? I was thinking maybe from the foot feathers getting the vaseline on them and irratating? should I trim them off? I am thinking of getting red kote spray... supposed to work nice for leg mites too. Just don't want to add permethrin to the mix right now. Need eggs for Jace's school soon...

Ash, I hope that it'll all work out for you. If the main thing is a bit more income, and you can do something else from home, I'd do consider that. I'd expect more pay though once baby comes. Though being in September, her having a month off of work, so October, maybe by then one of the others will be in preschool? Maybe even young kinder?

Well, think I will do something productive today... like get the green acrylic paint off the floor that was so lovingly placed and trod through by my DS...

Oh, HE didn't even make it up this morning. yup.
