Well, I've had to work and teach the last two days (8-11 at night) so it's been long. In the meantime, since I was at school so much, I completely forgot to call my DS on his birthday. Actually, I just forgot what the date was. If I'd known it was Mar 6th, I would have called. Anyway, he's reaalllyyy hacked off at me and won't even answer his phone when I call. I'm getting mad. After all, I've done so much for him and his wife and now, because I missed calling I'm on the do not talk list. geeeesh. Who said kids grow up?

Can I rant a bit here? The dean decided that since the college had money left over from the budget, he would give $5000 to each dept. EXCEPT - and this is the kicker - the money will go to only 2 faculty who gets the most votes from other faculty for good teaching. Well you would have thought we were living on Survivor Island. Coalitions were forming, backstabbing going on, people undercutting other people. I was so upset by it all I took my name out of the running. All that money did was make people feel bad and make others nasty. The thing is, we are all really good teachers and we all teach differently so one is not better than another. Super bad mistake that will take a long time to undo the bad. Certainly $5000 poorly spent.

well, I just have to say that I so very much appreciate this thread. You don't find senseless judgemental comments made here towards other people with the thought that everyone here has the same ideas as you, when in actuality, you've just insulted in a very rude way half the people and friends of half the people on the thread. Oh,and its ok, because of who you are.

You don't know how much I appreciate you all. It is like a family! I've learned so much and gotten so much support. That is worth it's weight in gold.

It's the ones here that make the thread what it is. We're just one big happy family!

Hi Savannah. How's your DH? I hope okay. Not good to have a sick hubby.

I stopped by the goat barn last night when I got home to see how everyone was doing. One of the food bowls was tipped over but when I bent down to turn it right side up, pipi jumped on my back. Caught me by surprise. Stupid little goat.

Get the first of our new chicks today. I can't remember which ones are in so it's going to be a surprise when we go up to get them. Either EE;s, welsummers, speckled Sussex or orpingtons. Can't wait! Whooppeee!

Omg.... Here I have been bragging about not getting sick... I woke up with a monster head ache and a stuffed nose... Hope it doesn't get like the kids.

Money is the root of all evils. The funds should be split evenly between all departments.

I am finally starting at the bagel shop Monday.

savannah, how's the egg count? I got a whopping 4 eggs yesterday. And my Criptoe is broody... Gah! Any one need a broody?

I let the birds out this morning... They've not wanted to go back in. Lol. My front yard has a nice exposed grass patch... Thank you septic... Does that mean its some hot sh... Hehe. Needless to say, they are very happy today.

Lol, she isthe one that went broody, laid 2 eggs and refused to let any chicken near here. She was in the nest last nite with no egg. Today, one egg, hers... I will guess tomorrow will be another... Hers... Then nothing. Both my large egg layers are broody... Dagnabit.

Nova, why do all your girls go broody? Mine never seem to want to which will be a bummer because if they don't there won't be any new chicks this year since I've banned myself from buying any. DH actually wants me to get rid of 3/4 of the existing flock, but I'm not biting on that one. He can deal. LOL

Exciting day on my mail run today. I got to go mud bogging down all the dirt roads! Whee ha! LOL
