Fuzzy's Farm

Well, the glued together duo in that garage, that's Skeeter The Pro and Ekta The Novice, have one baby out. Super cute, super tiny, and they were super not happy with me. BUT Skeeter The Pro knows the drill. Ekta has the eggs, Skeeter has the chick AND Ekta's head under her next to the chick. Oh my gracious, it's freaking precious. I should consider a thread... Hmmm..

ANYWAY, this little chick is tiny. It came out of a faverolles egg. Was supposed to be PURE, but apparently not yet... It is also super tiny, did I mention? AND BLACK with little yellow fuzz on the toes. It is very much smaller than the ones that Sheh-Sheh has hatched. I should have looked at the skin color. Maybe I could have guess at the daddy then. Maybe not. I am thinking with how tiny it is, it might be a Fritz the Jerk offspring... What color are black serema chicks usually? Cuz if ya'll remember this pic...

You'll understand my giggles if it's there's. LOL

LOL, I think pj and avoidence of all things vehicular are in order.

Gigi, I took pics of those artifacts. With the searching I have been doing, I am thinking they are pre-columbian seals/stamps. On has a handle with a head of a panther or a dog of some sort. Well anyway, not sure what group it came from, other than my Gran dug them up in Central America... The one seal I took 3 pics of the scene so I could get the detail. They are really quite cool. ONLY I don't know nothing...

I can email them to you too if you might know who to forward them too to ask... Thanks

I think you aught to just let Georgie do her own thing all the time cuz she sounds like a trip and a half. OH, and get it on video.

All my birds are out and about. I tried to let the faverolles out, but then big butt Florus decided to set off the alarm, all his girls ran back in to hide next to him under the bates motel... and so I just left them... Almost time to go and check the last chick for deformaties.
Oh my gosh, Nova, those are exceedingly cool. You know what, they may be museum quality. Do you ever go to a large city with a big museum? If you knew you were going to visit someplace I'd call them ahead of time and tell them what you have. Those may be worth quite a bit. They look like Aztec artifacts. We might be going to the Museum of Natural History here in the next couple of weeks so if you send me the pics I'll take them by. [email protected]

Okay, they look like stamps from the 1400's that the Aztecs used for printing. Here's a couple of websites:

And here's an auction:

Here's the American Museum of Natural History website that has background on some history and an archeologist of that period:

Here's the website and email of the curator of South American archeology at the American Museum. You could send him an email with these pictures and just see what he thinks. Usually, professors are very willing to tell you what you've got. If he's not helpful, just let me know and I'll find someone else for you to email.

Those are fabulous!!!!

I want my old name back!

Thanks Gigi! I just shot off an email to Dr. Spencer. Being that he's from MI too, I hope he'll take pity on pathetic ole me and answer. The virtual tour of the hall is really cool. It has all the main civilizations of Central Mexico. Very cool to look at what they've got. I don't see hardly anything like what I have, but some very close. Most the stamps I see are of animals, and mine have both animals, people, snakes... Anyway, we'll see if he say anything.
