I had a busy productive day today ..with DH waiting for his trainer we have talked all day while I did chores ... I cleaned up and reorganize 8 boxes of ours in the basement ( to prepare for the eventual move ) and I organized my nail polishes( over 100 now .. wow !! lol ) and washed my sheets and blanket. Then I cooked supper and wrapped presents and got them under the tree . Being productive helps the long days drag on ..

Got a big decision concerning school to make. I already made one and am switching schools (scary enough in itself) . Now I have to decide if I want ot be a psychologist or a counselor ?!? opinons anyone ?

I've never had roosters try to kill hens before. I do know though, if I witnessed that behavior, he would DEFINITELY go in the pot!

Mom is still in the nursing home, but no longer dying. Still cant walk. They get her one more week, then I am bringing her home.
Kayla still seizure-free...yay, seems we have a handle on it.
Tiff has a new boyfriend. And I really like him. Darn it. Hate getting attached when kids are young, cuz you end up with a broken heart.
UM- no money for Christmas, but its gonna be the best one ever because I have my mom, and my mom-in-law, and my brother is coming from Colorado.
Robin is a fabulous friend- she swooped in like a superhero and beat off a jerk on facebook.

Thats all I got. OH=- and my hens dont lay eggs. they are freeloaders. Havent had an egg I can find in three weeks.

No superhero Kim.....just won't have that. NOBODY talks about MY friends like he was doing and me read it !!!! Stupid jerk. Hope you can be on here more now. Pimento was here last week too. She needs to come back too now. I have lots of eggs for ya. 30 something a day.

Got my first quail egg today~!!!!!!!!

Was a nice gift after moving them to the old rabbit pen. They still have the heat lamp because they like it. I wish I had more quail than the three.

Guess what? My chicken coop is gross. I have to go get some pine shavings and rake it out. No wonder they are hiding their eggs. They are punishing me.

Now to get back to my 'battle of the Christmas lights'. Why is it you can put them away and all are working. Then take them out of storage and at least 1/2 dont work. UGH!!!

Only advice i have is to check the job availability of both in the area you are going to move to. It's why i haven't bothered going to be a vet tech, there are no tech jobs anywhere near me (unless you can do animal research.) Umm no! You could always be the lucky one who gets the job anyway, but it pays to check the classifieds and see the hiring trends.

Ok... this rooster belongs to NewtoFarming, I asked her to show y'all this guy, and she said I could go ahead and post him here... SO... Check this out! I think he's freaking awesome







As you can tell, he is a faverolle cross. Daddy is a faverolle, a very pretty guy too, and mom is a buff turken hen. Atleast I think that is what she said the hen was. Well anyway, I am not much into turkens, but this guy sure makes me wish I had one just for the hello of it!

Still trying to satisfy the cheesecake recipe, doing an image search to help cut through the bogus fluffy ones LOL What i have learned is that any picture of it makes me want one more, and that a true NY cheesecake is made without sour cream, uses cream and egg yolks mixed with the whole eggs for richness and creamy-ness. The sour cream makes it smooth, but also loosens the texture. So being picky and getting hungry
