Fuzzy's Farm

sad evening here. I arrived at the coop to discover that someone had eaten a marble size piece out of hope's rump :( Sometimes when i get there my little blue hen and my hope have jammed their selves into a tight spot, so someone is doing something, but i can't figure it out:( No one is showing aggression.

I caged those 2 separate for the night so they will be safe tomorrow.

hope they get better and ya find out what is going on !!!

I addressed any possible space and feed issues, so any other ideas? The only true aggressor was the one put down already.
Would they be to scared to go down and eat and thus doing it?
Or a bad habit that got started and "took"?

Is there something bitter i could put on their tail areas so that it would stop it?

I tried bluecote already, didn't make it stop. They are actively after feathers, and i don't know what else could be lacking???
It honestly could be any number of things. Lacking something, bored, just have to sort them out. I had that problem with one of my older Marans hens. Been in that same pen forever then one day I seen she was bleeding. It took me several different pens to locate one she could be in and many sprays of blue cote. She is fine now but not in with my other Marans. I seen TSC is selling some kind of stuff for that in the chicken section. Was going to buy some and try it but haven't yet. Good luck with it. But I do know that d'Uccles are very aggresive.
