Yeah, mine too. My neice had that phone for a while... Hmmm... wonder if she's still got it.

got the birds some fresh hot water. Going to scramble up eggs for them tonight with oatmeal and raisins. LOL. I have 9 dozen on the counter, and ya know what! 14 eggs today! One broody, one who doesn't lay anymore, and one molting. Still had one hen in the nest box so when she's done, that'll be 15 eggs today...
 
I was happy to not have to work today with the snow we were to get. Those LLVs are terrible on ice and snow. Of course, looking outside my window it doesn't seem like we got more than an inch so it probably would've been okay.

Darn it. My m key on the laptop seems to be wonky. I just had to go through and add them all because they didn't show up when
I typed.
 
Speaking of broody hens, I had a potential one last night. Some of the chickens were holing up in the goat pen last night so I had the kids go get them to put in the coop. My DD goes to get the ee/leghorn girl sitting inside the goat house and realizes she's sitting on eggs. I asked DH what should I do because I'm not sure how long she's been on them and what if they've started. Omg, chicks in January! This is nuts! So I had her get the girl to hand off to DS to bring inside and tell her to carefully pick up the eggs to bring in. Well, she goes to get the eggs and notices they're all cracked. Thinking perhaps the goats might've leaned against them or something. Oh well, I wasn't quite wanting chicks right now anyway.

dunno on that...

w've got more than an inch here, but the wind has blown it big time. Keeping the snow off the hoop roof. SO far so good. The birds are not happy with the weather. They've not even attempted to go out. I have the two heat lamps hanging in there, and they are hanging around them and burrowing down in the leaves. Need that straw here in the next week. the babies will be here and I need it before then. Man... winter...

I am thinking... I need another heat lamp though... LOL.
