Fuzzy's Farm

Well Kim was here and has left now. I will take real good care of her chickens for her. I know that was a real hard thing for her to do.

Just got my first chickens today three beautiful bantam hens and two bantam roosters! They are around eight months. Hens are laying. Of course will take a week or so before I get a egg! Gotta get used to their new home! Going for six rhoad island Reds tomorrow! Yea!!! I'm a chicken mom!,

Yay!

I had the weirdest dreams about my chickens last night... They threatened to egg me if I didn't let them out.

Have to nap soon... Been a very lazy day. My birds are not happy. They hate this white stuff. Last year the birds I had all went out. These ones do not. I have picture proof that they did.

Sting is starting to behave manly... Time to set the appt...

Dogs have bad gas... Guess I shouldn't have let them eat those left over lima beans and broccoli. Lol.

Well chums... Have a good nite!

Hi there Nova. You have some weird dreams lol
Has Nova been hanging out with you in the east wing?
How are you tonight here good.

Hi Rusty, Hi Robin, Hi Everyone. I hope you all are feeling good in all the snow you are getting.

Long weekend, Taught night classes Weds, Thurs, all day Friday and Saturday. Good classes but I'm worn out.

Hey Nova. Weird dream for sure. How is the hoop coop holding up in all the snow?

Hi Tee! Finger is pretty much healed except still numb and hard to bend - I suppose scar tissue in there so I keep bending, bending, bending it - ha. Thanks for asking.

Yay, chickens, Savannah. How exciting!

Kim, I know it's got to be hard to leave all your chickens but Robin sounds like the best!

Okay, I'm not caught up but it's late-lol.

Oh Fuzzy, how's the job going? And finding a place to live?

Went to a co-worker's retirement party tonight and got to meet a lot of my other co-worker's spouses. Upon saying my name, I got the response of 'Oh! The chicken lady!' from the ones I sell eggs to. LOL
Yes, that's me.

Hey My Chickens are GONE!!
sad.png

I have looked out the back window three times to check on them...oops.

I started out the back door last night to do a head count...

and this morning when I put on the coffee, I started to go out to open up their coop.

The inspector came while we were at Robins'.He never showed up and we waited until 1 o clock before we left. We padlocked the gate.

My son said he knocked on the door. He told them everything was gone. The inspector looked over my gate and told my son that we were good. Gave him a thumbs up.

Ummm= you couldnt see my chicken yard from my gate anyhow!

I dont trust him. I expect him to come again. He definitely has to come to see next door again. Many violations over there.

And while we were at Robins- my quail hatched.
Gonna make me a hoop house with cattle panels and plant pole beans around it for disguise- and put them in there when they are grown.

I ordered a 85% privacy screen- should be here tomorrow. My husband and I are going to put it up against the shadow-box privacy fence so nobody can see in through the slats in the chicken yard. I have to find a way to block my other neighbor from seeing over here. fence is chain-link. I want to plant many more bushes in my chicken yard and get bird netting up (hawks/falcons). THEN maybe I can bring my girls home.

I know they are in the best care and I am very thankful... I am just very sad to now be chickenless. I felt like a real jerk taking them from their house to the cage then driving them and then leaving them. You all should have seen Bird chasing the turkeys though. Tiniest little OEGB taking on a turkey!!!
