Fuzzy's Farm

I wish Fuzzy could come live by me... or visa versa.... I feel that we have a similar spirit.

Hope Maggie is okay!

The puppy pooed in the house... I lit an inscense stick... now it smells like burnt poop...

On Sunday, I groomed a neighbors dogs. THEN ALL the neighbors wanted their dogs nails cut... so I went door to door (3 houses) and trimmed nails! THEN everyone and all their kids wanted to see the chickens! I sent each of the kids home with an egg! The most special ones came straight from the nest box!
Most days I get 2 eggs now! YAY!!! Shawarma's eggs are getting bigger and more rounded out. She is supposed to be an olive egger, but she is a blue egger and they are so pretty!!! A gorgeous sky blue!
Thank you Kim for passing her on to me! I love her so much!! She just recently got a bright red comb on top of her head!!!

I think my rooster is very confused on what his sex is... He crows... and makes nest...
All around the yard! He makes large nests and leaves them. Maybe it is the broody nature of the silkie in him... maybe he wants the girls to go broody. I dunno... Silly birds!!!

Hi everyone - I tried really hard to read everything, but just too much.

I see all the familiar faces and a few new ones (hi back Nova from the 11th!

) Sorry I couldn't stop and answer then.

Recovering from shoulder surgery, only to find that I now need surgery on my spine - pain in the neck (literally, he-he!) Oh well, I have a month to play.

So, now I am going to go and at least catch up on the last few days, then post again this evening if I may. Meanwhile got to go and get the goat outa the fridge and wrap him up and in the freezer before Himself gets home.

Really? Is there a reason why she won't take them? Thats so sad. BUT they are so cute! If I lived near you, I'd help ya on that. LOL. No really, I would.

Dang TC! What did you do to yourself! Hope you get set to rights rather sooner than later.

Why didn't you cut my dogs nails while you were at it?

ALSO, was bsing with the neighbor and a young buck was not 20 feet away! Poor thing kept and eye on us, and an eye on what he was foraging. Poor guy. LOL. Carl went and got out some corn and brocolli and left it in the pile where he's usually scrounging. Was just amazing that he came that close to us. Musta really been hungry.

The turkeys are starting to come with in 10 feet of me when I feed them. The toms are hanging back more, but the younger hens are not having a problem coming to the feed line. LOL It'll be a bummer when the snow melt. they won't come out then.

It happens at times and this is one of those times. She usually owns and takes care of hers but decided not to this year. Oh well, it is what it is. At least they are alive.

Yah, me too. Had rotator cuff surgery with some bone spurs removed from the collar bone. Then when it stopped healing properly, went to my neurosurgeon, got more MRI's and bob's yer uncle, ruptured discs and more bone spurs in the neck.

Now I'm pretty good with pain, but not being able to use my arm is a real bummer - try washing your hair in the shower, brushing teeth (it's my dominant arm) eating soup, etc, when you can hardly raise your arm.

Now if I want to go bowling, that would be okay because I use the other arm. But, I don't bowl. Same with tennis.

So, going to have my throat slit, (I love saying that!) bone spurs removed, ruptured discs removed and vertebra fused. Hopefully it won't require that full body amputation I mentioned some time ago.

They did say though that unless the surgeon really screws up (OMG) that the healing process is quicker than the shoulder surgery - keeping toes crossed.

My husband had that surgery. They removed bone spur on the inside of the vertebral column in his neck, put in a cadaver bone and put him in a neck brace for four months. he wore that neck brace religiously and was a total bear to be around. Healed beautiful though.

I have major bone spur/neck arthritis/bulging discs in my neck...so I do believe I will watch your posts carefully so that I may see my future. That is very rare- being able to look into a crystal ball and see what the future holds. If you heal beautifully and find the quality of life has improved, I may be persuaded to have the surgery done.

Nova-
I am over the pissy fit I had this morning when i deleted my post. The recycled eggs are doing beautifully. i moved everyone out to the coop and I miss them terribly and worry about them extremely. I do hope they continue to be okay out there- just had no room for them inside any more. The quail are two and a half weeks old and huge. The chicks are a week and a half- but think they are quail. There are twenty two quail.
Robin- I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the baby lambies. I wouldnt dare. Snoopy Animal Control was ON MY STREET TODAY. In fact, he has been all over my neighborhood- crawling like a tick. Wish he would find something more interesting on the other end of town.
