I have a bantam rooster that nests too! Told my husband I think he's not sure if he's a rooster or a hen! Lol... Love the twin calves! So cute. Had long day at work, seen several clients today, and they all have different problems!! Only thing they all have in common is being pregnant!! Sometimes I wonder why I took this job!! But I really do love what I do. Just gets stressful sometimes. Nova hope you get the tax problem worked out. I paid our taxes yesterday, they keep raising them none of us will be able to pay them. Well, Roger would make nests. Mr. Fluffers would make nests. Pat the Rat was making a nest today, and Florus is learning to make nests. He's so funny when he does it. He'll be in the nest box calling and calling and then girls will come look, then leave the nest and go back to being bored in their run. LOL. Poor babies. I can't wait to be able to let them OUT and have them actually want to go OUT. LOL But anyway... totally normal for a roo to make a nest for his mate/s.

MOM - last post I read of yours was about animal control making you get rid of all your birds. I'm having such a hard time keeping up, what happened; sounds like you moved them into hiding in the garage. How's it working out?

Surgery - I'll keep everyone posted. I was horribly afraid but have been reassured by many folk (including a surgical nurse) that it really is a quick healing surgery. It seems that doc's like to do this one because the outcomes are so good. I'm hoping. . . !

Friend of mine had both his rotor cuffs done. He's was a miserable grouch for a few weeks, and poor Rosamund just rolled her eyes. I think though that her hair may have thinned out a bit there for a while. But he's right as rain now.

I think I'd be a bit afraid, too, TC. I don't like surgeries. Hope it goes well and you bound back in good time.

Today was a good day for letting the chickens out. The sun was out and the snow melting nicely. Just wish the forecast for the next 2 days were going to be the same. Ah, more snow. And I'll let you in on something. I was asked to work a different route this week and since neither of us cared which day, I chose Thursday. Why? Because it isn't dirty Wednesday and the snow wasn't supposed to start until Friday. Yep. Jinxed myself. Geesh.

Anybody have any light Sussex? Neighbor is wanting some. He found a guy on eatmebay who has some, but at 28 bucks for 8 eggs, he's not to keen... I told him that it might be better to look around MI for some, and make a day trip to pic them up...

My new set of twins. Just a little over an hour old. Still wet. Momma won't own them so they will be bottle babies. I hate bottle feeding lol.

Bring them to me!!! I will give them back when they are weaned!!! I wants!!!! I wants!!! The precious!!!!

They did say though that unless the surgeon really screws up (OMG) that the healing process is quicker than the shoulder surgery - keeping toes crossed.

Robin love those babies!
BYFM, your too slow! Robin should be at work so I am already on my way to her house. With a bunch of treats to keep the dogs busy and I can stash one under each arm. Dang though Robin knows where I live!

About 30 years ago a horse reared back DH didn't let go of the halter. tore rotor cuff. Surgery would only give back about 80% of use. DH opted not to have the surgery. I think some days he regrets not having it done.
