Ready or not here it comes! Rained here starting about 12 then sleet. Changed to snow about an hour ago. My huge pine tree that I can usually walk under with no problems the branches are already touching the ground. Hope no one looses power tonight. Everyone be careful out there.
Tee the answer to your ? how much, is more than we want.
Some person (read idiot) was driving at speed not suited for the road conditions... This person (read, real stupid idiot) spun their vehicle around at the intersection and ended up nose first in the stream (BIG DITCH, you can stand in this thing, always has water in it, and no one would know you were there unless they were looking) rear wheels off the ground. This person (read flaming moron) gets out of the car, leaves the car door open, car running, climbs out of the ditch with girlfriend, hails a passerby, gets a ride to where ever. Police then show up, turn off the car, close the car door and summon tow service and an ambulance. NOTE: Moronic, flaming, stupid idiot did not return.... Hmmm...
Anyway, not an ideal night for driving at all. John had to go to school in Muskegon, 45 miles north of us. He called the school to see if classes were cancelled, and they were not. He couldn't ditch the class because he already ditched 2 this semester, a 3 will get him an incomplete... Hope he keeps it betweent he ditches himself. IF not, well then, I hope he's safe. If not, then I hope he has a big INS policy.
Totally kidding. I want him to be safe. Kids need a dad... But if not, I hope it's a REALLY BIG ins policy.
Yeah, it got really messy out there fast. Left the house to run some errands and it was fine. Within minutes of leaving we started getting hail and freezing rain. Got home an hour later and it was a royal mess on the roads. I'm thinking no school tomorrow. I just wish DH didn't have to go out in it tonight. Guy he rides with called and said get here early so he'll be leaving shortly so they can take it slow. Personally, if his job didn't have a mean call-in policy, I would rather he just stay home. It's not like he can do too much since last night at work he went to grab a box and wound up slicing his hand on a piece of glass that was sticking out. Some idiot stacking case carts put a case with broken glass in it on his cart so now his hand is all stitched up and bandaged.
While I was out, I stopped for gas. So I'm standing there following the pump prompts to set up to start pumping and the wind is howling around me and I'm getting pelted by the hail and freezing rain when the pump prompt asks 'Do you want a car wash?'
Why, yes! Awesome idea! LOL
Seriously, I was laughing so hard when I read that. Totally made my day.
Well, I certainly hope he doesn't re-open it. It went all the way to the bone. Just imagining that icks me out enough not to want to see a replay. He can't take the bandages off for a few days so thankfully I don't have to see it yet.
I called it right. School's already been called off for tomorrow. I was out there a bit ago helping DS clear a path to the car and cleaning it off. That stuff is super dense and heavy. Be careful if you have to shovel.
