I believe I have read her thread... or article... I just wanted to try. No harm done.BYFM look up member Sally Sunshine. She has a link for a thread she started on how to make an incubator out of an old cooler. (lots of pics) it was pretty cool. The I saw some where in the incubating and hatching forum where some young gal made a simple incubator out of a cardboard box.
Seabrights $? Grooming $? Math is wrong
Do ya'll have a printer? I was thinking that since no one wants to make that yes do it leap, We could each buy some iron on transfer paper, A t-shirt in our prefered size, and take Ashli's Chicken Stock design and make our own to wear... I will suggest it on the other thread as well.
I wonder how my hair would look with blue in it.....
YES!!!Oh my gosh, how funny would that be. We all show up with blue hair and get the t-shirts with ashli's design, but modify it a bit to give the chicken on the shirt a blue mohawk and some tats and piercings. LOL Chicken rebels with a cause.![]()
Gosh he is handsome... I would have lots of roos if I had the land to...
OH! With Chickenstock 2013 right across the hen, or under it... LOL
I absolutely LOVE this one.
And the Marans will be coming soon so get ready for them.Your roosters look a lot alike!
There is a lady in Clarksville that is wanting some 8 month- year old hens. I contacted her and told her that I have some. I need to make room for the Marans from Robin and for the future faverolle hens that I am hoping will be hatching. She's only interested in 3 hens, and understands that they are cross breeds, and she's most concerned about them not attacking her kids. LOL. Yeah... like mine are evil. LOL, fuzzy knows how evil they are. HEHE. they'll trip you up trying to get the treats out of your hands!
Anyway... Time for the cockerels to go to freezer camp. I might put them on craigslist first. My hens are starting to show a bit of wear. Not good there. I think they are also going thru a molt. There are feathers EVERYWHERE. Now I am concerned that I treated them for mites, when what was really happening was the beginning of a molt. Oh well, guess they are nice and clean now. LOL
Anyone here need a Cochin for 4h? Or know someone? I am thinking of finding Pat the Rat someone who wants him for 4H. I was hoping Jace would take an interest. He is interested, but he wants me to do all the work. I am not going too. He isn't interested in helping me take care of them, just wants this pretty one, and that pretty one.... AND they are his, but if I have to be the one to do the 4H work... Then no. He can have his chickens all over the yard all he wants, but we won't do 4H until he is good and ready to do the washing and the handling. I think they freak him out when they start flapping. I think I'd be better off with him with a hen actually. But we will wait a few more years.
I can't hardly talk. Fever is pretty much over, but I feel like I am walking sideways. Yay congested head! My mom is sick now too. Only she didn't know what medicine to take even though it was right next to the cough drops. Even though it said severe cough and cold, and the similison says Mucus and Congestion... Anyway... So, now she's in bed, finally medicated. She didn't want to go to bed, she wanted to stay on the recliner with a blanket over her head and huff and puff about the kids being kids being loud. So, yes... I yelled at her and told her to take her *** to bed and I wasn't going to put up with her whining on the couch making things miserable for the kids wanting to play. Yes, the kids are MUCH MUCH better. Like, drive you up the wall better. Things are back to near normal for them.
I think I will be starting work Tuesday. Think I will pretty much be done with this crap. I am already less coughy, I know, not a word, and I am able to randomly breathe through my nose. That's an improvement. Actually felt nice last night out working. The cooler moist air really seemed to help. THEN I had to go into the old folks home with the 80 degree dry heat. I felt like I wanted to die by the time I got out of there! A half hour after getting out of there, I was able to breathe again comfortably.
This weather was nice today, even though it was raining. I got home from the Sunday job, and was surprised the neighbor had let his birds out. WOW. They've not been out all winter. Mine have been out all week. The turkeys have also taken to the hills... haven't seen them in the last week either since the sun had been out and the temps up. Bummer. Was really hoping to get a pic of some of the toms in display. They are so beautiful.
Anyway, I am finished my novel I think....
