Morning everyone. I have the day off. Yay!
Of course, the idiot owner of the field across from our house has decided today is the day he wants to burn all the branches and leaves from the trees he cut down a few months ago. Boo!
Well, since I don't want to be breathing in the smoke from his burn (which is right exactly in front of our house across the road), and since I have a few errands and a tax appt later, I've decided I'm going to just go out for the day. Get a little shopping in and find a good spot for lunch.

Feeling much better today, too, and my ears are popping which is my body's sign that the illness is coming to the end. Yay!

I have a question...

Is it safe to give a dog a human antibiotic?
My neighbor works for a ob/gyn and said she has Doxycycline for Noah if his ear/ neck gets bad.
While nice of her to offer... I am not a pill popper and don't go to medications right away, so I have very little knowledge about them.
I don't think Noah needs any antibiotics... his cut seems to be healing well, his ear is still swollen something terrible and I know it hurts him, but that is no need for an anti.
But should I take her offer for them and keep them on hand... just incase..
 
some antibiotics can cross over as can other medications but not sure if those can or not... i know amoxicillin can and valium .... i would prob get them just in case but double check before giving them ?

I gotta buy chicken food... Spring can not get here soon enough, now! I need them to start being able to find bugs and eat FREE greens LOL!!! I can tell that they have cabin fever too from the winter. I let them out of the run when I can be outside with them and watch that they don't wander too far. Cleaned out the fridge today and gave the chickies lots of goodies!!!! Them is happy chickens!!
