Fuzzy's Farm

We are getting all the rain. Buckets and buckets and buckets. The poor people in Moore have a double whammy. First loosing everything to the tornado and then rain rain rain. So whatever wasn't blown away or destroyed is now mush and mold. Bad bad days for many people. My poor chicks are trying to learn the breast stroke there's so much water in their run. Tomorrow I'm covering everything with straw.

Fuzzy, it sounds really, really nice. Can hardly wait for pics.

Tee, hope your doggy is okay.

Nova, what beautiful chicks.

Found out today that youngest son and wife are having a girl (she wanted a boy) and Middle son and wife are having a boy (she wanted a girl). Go figure. They'[ll love them whatever.

They can swap! LOL, just kidding.

Hope you don't get to much more rain. I took me weeks to clean up, get molded leaves and straw out from under things... UGH!

I was watching youtube vids of the Moore twister... WOW, one vid i watched, the person taping was panning left to right, because the whole thing could not fit in the view window. I just could not imagine... Now I can... I am glad there was so little loss of human life. Not that any loss is good... BUT not like Joplin... with what,,.. 150+ people lost... and the devestation to live stock... one farm lost nearly all their horses... something like 100 there abouts... just a devasting event, all the way around...

I am so happy that you and your family are ok Gigi. Glad Hannah is ok too. Dig the shelter....

Thanks, Gigi. Turns out DH never actually saw her have an accident on the rug, but just assumed. Found that out this morning after I got up and the spot was bigger than it was last night. Since she slept on the bed with me and the door was shut, it was obviously not her. Pretty sure it's not one of the cats, either, because it doesn't have the smell. We thought maybe the wetness was coming from a leak in a tote of water that he has nearby (for watering plants), but he emptied it and the spot is still getting bigger. I checked in the basement, but there aren't any pipes in that area so we have no idea why it's so wet right there. It's very weird.

Anyway, the dog was not pleased she had to go to the vet. She knew the second we pulled in. They drew some blood for a heartworm test which came back negative and then gave her the vaccine booster. Poor girl is really out of it right now. She's not eating and doesn't want to move at all. She can barely keep her eyes open and you can kind of tell when you look at them that she's kind of out of it. She just looks so helpless and sad. Really hate seeing her this way. Right now she's laying down with my youngest. She could barely jump up on the couch earlier so I had to pick her up and put her on the bed.

Boy tee she has you trained! LOL Just look at those eyes she is really saying 'feel sorry for me'. She got ya didn't she?
Alright someone, anyone you can turn the rain back off and turn the heat up a tad.
Was going to clean coop today but didn't stop with the liquid sunshine long enough. Really need to get a batch of chicks out in the grow out part. Guess I'll have to wait for the warm up. They have most of there feathers but don't want to have to put up heat lamp. I think it would make the coop too warm for the rest of the birds.

Gigi--- Straw+Rain+Dirt/Sand/Mud= BRICKS!!!

I turned my run into cement by doing that :( Took a long time to dig up.... could have built a house out of it.

Congrats on the babies... look forward to the swap ;)

Tee Your pup looks so sad :( I hope she feels better

Rusty, well of course. She's my puppy! Ok, ok, she's 5, but she'll always be my puppy. We all love and baby her here.

And speaking of, she is much more herself this morning. She just needed to get past the effects of the booster.

So today I'm waiting for my mom to call this time for a procedure my dad is getting done. They think his cancer is back and from what my mom has been telling me I think so, too. They are going in and taking 8 different samples and doing something else that I can't recall as well. My dad has been purposely elusive about his health even with my mom so my mom plans to corner the doctor after the procedure to get the run down on what all is going on. I just hope that with his stubbornness to go to a doctor for anything that he hasn't let this go on for too long.

Hope your dad can fight it off again.

Had a friend over yesterday. She was telling me that her fathers cancer is back in his throat. It is so sad. The procedure sounds terrible.
