Fuzzy - it is always better to be honest. If people get offended and don't want your chicks then that is their problem. But always be honest with someone. That way they have a choice. Either buy them and treat them or leave them alone. That's how I always look at things anyway.
What I do in the winter is I leave the coop doors open and I put privacy fence around my runs. That leaves for plenty of ventilation. The privacy fence keeps the wind out but yet it isn't high enough to go all the way up the run fence so henceforth, ventilation. I do have a couple of coops that have no runs to them so what I do with them is I leave the windows open and run a fan in there all winter. Has worked good for me so far.
