Fuzzy's Farm

Congrats on the bird sales, Rusty...that's great! :)

...I think I am going to stick fairly tightly to this Fuzzy Farm forum, because I'm sick of the haughtiness, arrogance, rudeness and know-it-all attitudes I seem to find in virtually every other forum here. There's enough of you here in this forum who know a lot about chickens, and are willing to share your knowledge in a humble manner instead of an "in your face and around the corner" manner. Can I bring along a sleeping bag and a pillow?

Clucky (who refuses to keep "learning" things from arrogant people, regardless of whether or not they're right) ...bad night/morning

You are absolutely right on the arrogance that goes on. They make take time to answer your question or they may totally ignore you. I have found this a lot on here so I just stick to where my friends are. And BTW....Welcome.

Hiya!

So, whats this about a turkey? What happened?
Long story. Short of it is my neighbor, which is a friend of mine, wanted turkeys. I gave her a pair. The female got real sick and I kept telling her it was sick and to give it antibiotics. Well apparently she didn't feel the need to even check on it,which I did everyday while she had it plus why should that surprise me, her horses have been in my pasture for years now and she never checks them, we do, but anyway it pithed me off so much that the other day I went and brought the turkeys back home and was treating them but apparently it was too late for the female. I told Lisa I took them back and she just couldn't understand why. She said she was under the impression that I was going to buy the medicine and give it to them and treat the birds. The gull of some people.

Here is a little free advice. You all know the place on here we told awhile back can't mention? (hint it starts with a 'C') Back in Aug. some one put an add up for the type of birds I was interested in. I met him at Fowl Fest Saturday and saw his birds.

drop dead gorgeous! Talked to the gentleman and said to email him. Now add is gone! I had the foresight to print the add so now I have his phone. So I can still contact him mid week like he said. He has to take inventory first to let me know what he has available.

So if you see an add for someone that has birds you like the looks of, respond so you have an email.l And if it has a phone # and pictures definitely print. Who knows what they may have or you may want down the road.
