I think I am going to wait till spring for more. I need to hire a half a dozen STRONG guys to help me move a swing set from one part of the yard to the other. I want it out of the spot it is in, moved over about 30 feet to the other side of the dogs area, then bring the fence over from that spot...
I was so tired last night, I didn't even hang out like I normally do reading through the half dozen threads that I read religiously, some I haven't even posted on, but I am subscribed just because they do nothing but TALK CHICKEN. I hope to gleen something. Doesn't mean I do, but since I do not have our trusty ring leader to answer my questions... when I have them... I have to look at other sources. Oh, how it wastes precious time that could be spent otherwise BSing. HAHA. I am glad that Olive might come back after the holidays.
It looked to be a sunny day this morning when I finally realized that constant bell ringing was my alarm... 20 minutes after it had started to go off. I guess it has been too long since I have done anything physical out of the norm. Well anyway, I took Jace to school, went to Meijer to get new toothpaste since Aiden decided that my toothpaste was better served in the toilet, and the sun was out. I came out of Meijer, the sun was gone. I need to get the laundry finished and the laundry room cleaned out cuz a friend of mine if going to sell me his old washer and dryer for $40 since he is getting brand new set. He said they were old, but they still worked good, and I said, for $40 bucks if it lasts me a year, I will be very happy, happy, happy. SO, who ever forgot to pay the sun bill, could you please rectify the situation?
My SLW is still hanging on. She's not looking to be getting worse, I can't tell if she's getting better, but she's still very alert. She prefers to lay on the garage floor versus the brooder with pine shavings. She will go over there when she gets chilly though. So, I am taking this as a good sign. I have not seen any more yolk stuck to her bottom, and her belly doesn't feel as swollen, so I am hoping the antibiotics are working. I am hoping she'll not start laying again. She is such a beautiful bird. I don't really care if she is just a lawn ornament. She's a grouch, so she keeps the youngsters in line.
Well, guess I will use this morning to clean the carpet...
MsB, the hens come through the yard, wander around the coops and look for left over treats. I haven't had any actually wander into the chickens run yet, but they don't seem to bothered by the chickens. The chickens just ignore them.
