Ya, all sorts of weird noises LOL. I tried to get a picture to post today but could not. In the back field from me, probably 200 feet or so, there stood an American Bald Eagle !!! I couldn't believe my eyes. While I was flittering around trying to get my phone to take a pic he flew up in a tree. Then his female flew over. That is so awesome. Such huge majestic birds.

Heck yeah it is. We had some near lake Macatawa for a few years, several pairs. Was so cool. Wish we had some here but not too close to my chickens.

Just came in from closing up... Took the left over peas out to hand feed... A few more are figuring it out that I do that. Lol. Some still turn their beaks up at me. Oh well.

My poor Hawk is molting. She is only 11 months, but feathers are just flying off of her like crazy. Vanilla is also doing a light molt . I did look at Hawks vent, neck and under wing to check for other problems, but nope, it is a molt. There are white feathers everywhere. Esdee has finally stopped... She's filling back in nicely. Only she's got red tips in spots.
