Fuzzy's Farm

Personally, if the major news stations were forced to actually report the news and not their biased version of the news, how many people would have seen the opposing candidates? When I was leaving yesterday evening, there was a couple there talking about the other candidates, and how they hadn't even heard of them. Now here is the sad part, How many potential better presidents could we have elected if they had the massive funding that obama and romney had? Of course, when romney was running low on funds, the sup-pacs were able to keep his messages on the air by their funding. BUT, you never saw/heard/read anything about the other hopefuls except Ron Paul, and not even enough about him....
Hey Nova;
I threw my soapbox in the goat pen and Maggie, head matriarch, is sleeping on it

BUT, I'll just say that this is the system we've got and it's so much better than many other countries (Mexico any one?). I completely agree with you about the power of money and the recent Supreme Court ruling on superpacs didn't help that at all -- STUPIDITY at work

but shows the influence of massive funding. I don't know what to tell you except we just have to hang in there and try to make things better. I do think we are able to influence local things which may eventually work their way up. But if you do nothing, do not vote, etc., we insure that people like Donald Trump, who is calling for revolution, will damage our freedoms to such an extent they will never recover. I don't know what the answers are but I do know that apathy is not the way. It takes people like you to figure out better ways of doing things. I don't even know it's possible but the alternatives are too scary... Okay, Maggie is giving me the hard stare so I'm going to leave her soapbox alone....

I agree with Donald Trump . That's the only thing that is going to fix this country now. Our government has gotten to cocky and changes our constitution anytime they feel like it. It is no longer for the people or by the people. Voting really does no good anymore. I hear our good governor here is going to go ahead with the bridge to Canada even though it was voted down. Way back seat belts were voted down and they passed it anyway. And even farther back abortions were voted down and they passed them anyway. I am NOT stating my opinion on any of these things just pointing out facts. So I say Yay Donald, go for it.

Morning Nova Nice job on the run cover. Wish I could do something like that, but the snow would all slide off the one side of it, and I would have to tromp though (or shovel) 6 feet of that nasty stuff in the walk way. My coop and run is right next to a storage shed, with 4 foot between them. Poor planing on that part, but makes a wind break on one side. And DH covered the run top wire flat instead of pitched. Oh well so much for hind sight / foresight

I am not a fan of our governor, but I just want to clarify something. Are you talking of Proposal 6? If so, that wasn't about whether to say yes we want it or no don't build it. That was about yes the people should have a say in it or no they don't get to have a say in it. It got shot down so the people have no say and the government can do what they want about it.

Sorry, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers so please don't take it as such. I have actually been trying my best to avoid anything political because it has stressed me out greatly this past week and I am just tired of it. That said, it's a beautiful day out and I plan on enjoying it. Have a great day all.
