Oh mom.............
Make friends with a kitchen girl,
they have more influence than one might suppose. Much of an invalids joy comes from eating, and besides that the staff come sneak food and gossip from kitchens off and on..........(Not to mention that the kitchen is the supply of the home's coffee for the breakroom) and the cooks usually stick around for a long time so they can keep an eye out for a patient if they bond with you.
There are a million little extras that they can do, but will not if pushed too hard.
Kitchen girls can be stubborn! Try not to get frustrated, be patient........it will not be like at home, they will forget things that are small to them but big to you guys.................if you are firm but pleasant, it will go a long ways...........
Second to and just as important are the "activities" staff, they are the ones who will actively seek to get her involved to make new friends, so she won't feel as depressed and trapped.
VERY IMPORTANT!
