We had a flock of about 50 Canada Geese that came in and stayed on our lake for a couple of days. I had my chickens free ranging and went out to check on them and heard a lot of noise down at the lake, which is to the front of the house, and my chickens made for their pens. As I stepped around the house to see what was going on, I ran into DH who had been watching the lake from the house. The geese were swimming in the middle of the lake and a flock of about 10 hawks were diving at them. I'd never seen anything like it. The geese were going nuts! I put my babies up in their covered pens and DH ran down to the lake shouting at the hawks. They flew off, but I've been on watch ever since.
