We have a guest in our home who asked what country chickens came from. We didn't think it was the U.S. because we'd never seen native Americans shown with chickens. I google and found:

    http://www.trivia-library.com/b/animal-info-chickens-place-of-origin.htm
"...the chicken's direct ancestor is the wild red jungle fowl found in Thailand, Burma, Sumatra, and eastern India. Tamed by man about 5,000 years ago, it was probably the first domesticated bird."

    That'll be 50 cents please.

They crack me up when they run. They kind of look like they should have arms.

The dinosaur/chicken/duck thing didn't sink in until I saw one hatch and develop. Then when you see them tear in to a worm or a moth, they do look like little velicoraptors!!!!
