DIRT: Dirt watched the Barn owl almost wistfully. The flash against her white chest was beautiful. He wondered if she was the supreme tyto-- no, what had that owl called them? The queen.

Topaz: Dirt???

DIRT: Dirt turned, startled, "Uh... Hi."

Topaz: Im sorry for the way I acted, I just was worried that you would hurt someone. You are different from the other pure ones. I should have respected that.

Hvitr growled to herself "stupid rules" she mumbled and flew out, her white feathers reflecting sunlight and making it painful to look at her. She flew over the woods where the pure ones lived, mumbling curses under her breath.

DIRT: Dirt looked down, "I probably have hurt someone here before in a battle or something. Now I really don't see how the pure ones are so pure at all."

hvitr looked around, "where did that bird callisto attacked go?" she wondered looking around.

SPECKLE: Speckle flew farther from the pure ones in search of that misrable sooty. He spied Hvitr and guessed she was looking for Dirt or Dust or whatever his name was too. He didn't bother saying hi to a barn owl, most of the ones he knew were just plain mean to masked, grass, and sooty owls who were less "pure" At least I'm better than this stinking bird I have to track, he thought. He flew past Hvitr and continued searching.

hvitr eyed speckle and continued flying, something shot past her and she shrieked in terror at the unknown object.
