GA - Wanted blue silkie (easter-egger) eggs

I guess it can come from either parent / both parents contribute to the egg color.
In this case, the EE hen layed a blue egg and the Silkie roo came from a cream-colored egg --- children lay green eggs.

Isn't this guy gorgeous! He is a roo from the Ebay ad. Not very "silky" but some of the others are. I think they look like a nice new variety.

A good many of the birds in the pics are not silkie feathered.
But to help you out, if your chick is a female and lays green eggs, put her with a silkie rooster and hatch eggs, some of them will lay green eggs. Get rid of the ones that dont.
If it is a rooster, then good. More of the chicks will lay green eggs than the other way.
