Gaak! Chicken yard weed-whacked!

My lovely weed-filled chicken yard was weed-whacked today

Is it safe for them to go out? I doubt it, they surely use chemicals on other properties where that weed-whacker's been... (gardener's earth-polluting smog-belching YUMMY WEED-WHACKING machine, not ours)

How long do I need to wait? Do I need to rake up the fallen stuff?

Poor hen-hens, the weather is just getting nice...

If it was just weed wacked and not sprayed with herbicide, it should be fine. I think the chickens would like pecking at the weed seed heads and scatching around in there. I wouldn't pick things up unless, maybe there are thorns?
