GAAMP Change

I'm not from MI, but basically these changes mean urban and backyard farmers are no longer protected under the state's right-to-farm laws. The right-to-farm laws protect farmers from nuisance complaints regarding farming activities like smells... so without that protection, you have to follow local ordinances. The changes don't apply to backyard chickens where you have to follow city ordinances anyway, like no roos or only a certain amount of chickens... depending on where you live. Unless you are a farm, having 50 or more animals, the right to farm laws never applied to you in the first place, but if they did, they have changed and you are not allowed to have livestock within 250 feet of a residence or in an area with 13 or more houses in one-eighth of a mile.
