THANKS FOLKS, NOT MANY AS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THERE FLOCKS, AS I AROUND MY AREA, I'VE BUILT ANBOUT 9 COOLER-BATORS FOR NEIGHBOURS, AND EVEN GAVE MY PERSONAL ONE AWAY TO THIS LADY THAT WANTED TO START QUAIL (CORTEX) SP? AND KICKIN MY SELF NOW, CAUSE THERE ALL LAYING AGAIN NOW, WERE STILL AT -10 TO -30 ANY GIVEN DAY HERE... I BUILT AN WOOD ONE OUT OF AN OLD KITCHEN CUBARD, BUT IT WONT STAY WARM ENOUGH THOSE COOLERS ARE AWESOME INCUBATORS,

I WOULD LOVE TO GET PLANS TO BUILD THIS TYPE OF INCUBATOR, I RAISE ENOUGH (CHICKEN, RABBIT, AND QUAIL MEET A YEAR FOR 15-20 DOGS. SO INCUBATORS SEEM TO BE A WAY OF LIFE HERE NOW,

ANY TIPS FOR WINTER HATCHING? BUILDING TYPES. (R-VALUE INSULATION RECOMENDATIONS, ) WE GET -34--40 SOME WINTERS,

MOST OF MY FLOCKS HARDY AND WOULD SURVIVE A WINTER SITTING UP IN A TREE BRANCH, BUT MY RESENT ORDER FROM THE SOUTH, (THIS WINTER LEFT ME WITH 2/10 HENS LEFT!!) AND THAT WAS IN A BUILDING,!!

I ALSO HAVE THIS MYSTERY HEN, WAS TOLD SHES A "HEMSLEY GAME FOWL,"

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have a really nice set up for your birds, sorry about the ones you lost, this has been a rough winter.
A good place to post pictures if you want help identifying birds is the What Breed Or Gender Is This Forum, or on threads for the type of bird it is if you know. Here is are a couple of threads on games where people might be able to help https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/106767/show-off-your-games and https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/613455/show-off-your-american-gamefowl ... you may also be able to find breeders who have hens available in those kinds of threads

You might try posting in the Canada thread, or in the state threads for the states near you for a better chance of finding local birds. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread When you have 20 posts you can also post a Want ad in the BYC Buy-Sell-Trade forum (and check out the sales).
