Gagging Duck!

The duck is a few weeks old and is making squeaky noises and opening its bill to gasp for air. It will not eat or drink. We are not sure what to do! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, gasping for air and anorexia is considered a life-threatening sign, can you take your bird to an avian vet?

No we cannot. Is there something we can do? What is causing this? We are wondering if it is something other than gasping for air. Is that possible?

Could you post a video of your duck breathing? Upload it to youtube or Vimeo and then copy/paste the link here. Is your duck showing any other symptoms besides gasping for air and anorexia?

He looks really weary and tired. He is moving his head up and out and making a strange noise. I don't think he is choking because it does not feel like there is anything in his throat. He seems to be very exhausted. We think he has been doing this for at least an hour.

Other than that, we cannot find any symptoms. Physically, he seems to be fine. He has no injuries and he does not seem to have anything wrong with his throat.
