... Pasos have been my favorite breed since I was a kid.

I just found this the other day Study... It's a study aimed towards the genes responsible for gait... I thought it was interesting... but kinda silly they expect people to put all that time and effort into it and pay their own postage, with no compensation for participating, LOL.

I've got two Peruvian pasos. My almost two year old filly is blue roan and my almost four year old gelding is a red roan. I can't imagine ever having to ride a trotter again.

He sure is nice, what a ride. Have you tried him on cows yet? Keep us posted on what all yall get into.

Everybody please post lots of photos, so we can all drool over everybody's babys.

Hi Islpet, I love roans, have a blue one myself. This winter will be starting her saddle work. She' s 4 , have been working her in long lines, should be ready to hook in another 6 to 8 weeks. Post photos of yours please.

I have a Missouri Fox Trotter mare and a five month old MFT colt.

You can do ANYTHING with gaited horses. It's a myth that gaited horses cannot do "normal" things. I trail ride my mare. My friend cuts cows on her MFT. Another friend does reining.

I switched to gaited horses because I have a curved spine and riding a trot is very painful for me. The foxtrot is much smoother and more enjoyable for me. I've found I am starting to sit more straight and am able to spend more time in the saddle.

Since you asked for pictures!

My mare, (Foxy's Prissy Princess) aka Apple:

Thank- you, I will try to add photos, not very good at that yet.

That's (Classy ) a red-chocolate mare I home bred with my bestfriend. She is a Bay with a Silver Dapple gene Rocky Mountain.
She was 5 months old in that pic.
