Dour heard Annalise and glanced over at her. In his current foul mood, he wasn't even going to think about approaching her or her triplets.Annalise had watched the spectacle from afar and was now cooing to her foals, keeping an eye on Dour.
Cinders was still trying to think of how she could escape with Zephyra. If they split up, Dour would only chase down Zephyra; he had no need for Cinders.Zephyra's ear flicked at Cinders words, but she didn't stir.
The triplets heaped into a pile of spindly legs, worn out from their birth. Each foal's coat shone with the care of a mother, who had licked them clean. Still feeling uneasy, Annalise stood in front of her foals and was glaring daggers at Dour.Dour heard Annalise and glanced over at her. The grullo filly, whose coat almost shone with the red of a chestnut, opened her eyes at the snort. The leggy blue roan filly with the splash of white over her rump didn't stir. Kongo inspected his sire, starting from his chest to his rump. On the way, Kongo entwined himself through the stud's legs, looking up expectantly but to not see his mother's udder. When he reached Dour's rump after the inspection of everywhere else, he reached up to nip the piece of skin just below and to the right of where the tail started.Dour turned his head to watched the newborn colt. Dour's eyes nearly popped out of his head, and he dropped his head, bucking high enough to nearly flip over. Twisting midair, he off-balanced and crashed to the ground. The grullo stud DID NOT want to be neutered, and that's what he thought was happening!Kongo inspected his sire, starting from his chest to his rump.
