Dour came up behind Zephyra, snorting angrily. He didn't know what was going on inside her head, but he did know if she kept up with the running away, he would make her his latest broodmare, whether she wanted to or not.

Cinders rushed up behind the stud and lunged at him, sinking her teeth into his leg. "Leave her alone!"
Zephyra jumped at Cinders cry and Dour's angry snort, she stood and turned to stare at Cinders attacking Dour.

Dour snorted at Cinders' bite; she felt like a tick, irritating but harmless. He kicked the filly off and lowered his head to Zephyra's. His hard eyes gazed into hers, and he said, "I gave you a choice earlier. I am losing patience with this game."

Cinders had landed in a heap when Dour kicked her off, but she had returned to her feet.

"I wasn't running away, and I'm not playing a game" Zephyra said still not fully in control of her emotions "Why would I try to run away right in front of you, your faster than I am" She stomped her hoof "I just wanted to be alone for a moment, I just want to forget." She lowered her head drained now

Dour pawed a long gash in the ground and walked around the filly. Right now, his mood was about as affectionate as an ice storm, and he roughly gave Zephyra a shove. "Get moving! Back to the herd!"

Cinders, though outsized, threw herself at her sire again. Dour only had to lift his head, and Cinders went flying under him.

Zephyra stumbled, quickly righting herself she trotted back to the herd. Finding a place away from her dam yet close to the center of the herd, she lay down and curled up

Dour, growing evermore irritated, came walking slowly behind the fillies. Cinders had darted under him a second time to hurry after Zephyra. Reaching the herd, he glared at Zephyra. "If your dreams send you running away again...you won't like what happens."

He moved to the middle of the herd to stand guard.

Zephyra just looked at him and curled up, falling asleep quickly

Cinders approached her friend and nuzzled snugly against her. She nibbled Zephyra's mane carefully. "We should've kept running when you first wanted to leave..." she said, her voice barely a whisper.

Dour had his eyes trained on the fillies; they'd convinced the stud that falling asleep was out of the question.

Zephyra's ear flicked at Cinders words, but she didn't stir.
