Annalise was weak, but she stood up to let the foals nurse. Only two, a filly and a colt, stood up. The second filly lay still on the ground.
Dour whinnied at Annalise and the foals, but he still dared not move. His gaze fell to the still filly, and he resumed his anxious pawing. "What about her, Annalise?"

He spotted Aurora and her two foals, but his attention was elsewhere.

Seeing Annalise on her feet, Dusky turned and walked away, wanting to disappear just as unnoticed as she'd appeared. She would finish her business with Dour some other time; she needed to recover from foaling.

Zephyra turned at the movement, watching Dusky leave, she turned back to the triplets, keeping her distance, the yearling simply watched.

Aurora, now back to the safety of the herd was busy tearing into the grass, grazing to restore her energy

"Are you alright, Aurora?" Dour looked over the mare, staying where he was. He noticed she'd given birth to twins, and he found himself swelling with pride. Twins from Aurora and triplets from Annalise. Dour turned to gaze helplessly at the unmoving foal. One of Annalise's foals appeared to be stillborn.

Annalise nudged the unmoving foal. It was a filly, a blue roan. The other foals, a grullo filly and a buckskin pinto colt, nursed vigorously. The third foal's eyes opened, and she nickered weakly.

( it's next to impossible for a third foal to live out of a birth of triplets, but I don't really want to kill them off. )

Dour had stopped his panicked whinnying and was nickering gently at the foal. He kept his distance, but continued his encouraging nickers. He finally noticed what color the weaker filly was, and he sucked in a breath. Only one word came to mind: "Dusky!"

Still close enough to hear, Dusky lifted her head, having heard her name called, or so she thought.

(that would've been interesting: blue roan mare, nursing two blue roan foals)

Annalise looked up at Dour, worry creasing her eyelids. "I can't feed all of them." She whispered, gazing at the foals.

Aurora looked up at Dours question "I'm ok, just tired." She replied and resumed grazing

Here's a general idea of what the triplets look like, just remember that they're much smaller. They're tiny, actually.

Blue roan filly,
700

Grullo filly,
700

Buckskin pinto colt,
700
