Dusky had retrieved her newborn colt. Unfortunately, Twilight had sneaked back behind her dam as well.

Sleet, waiting on the outskirts of Titan's land, whinnied for her friend, for anyone basically.

Titan sighed when he saw Twilight. He stormed over and gave the filly a firm nip on the flank.

Black Ice backed her ears but did nothing else. She had grown used to Arwen's presence. The black mare turned in a tight circle, and as she did, a jet-black foal dropped to the ground behind her.

Arwen watched the foal, nickering gently

"Hmph," Annalise replied when she settled down with Dour again. "I think you're right."

"Oh, he thinks he's such a big stud already," Dour said, watching as Kongo stepped closer to them, squeaking and pawing. Dour stretched out his neck and whinnied loudly, sending Kongo skittering away. Between laughs, Dour said, "When you can do that, kid, then you're a stud."

"I don't want to go!" Twilight squealed at the bite and darted around Dusky, using the mare as a shield against Titan.

Arwen watched the foal, nickering gently

Black Ice, busy licking her newborn, continued to cast concerned glances over at the orphan. When her newborn was on its feet, she returned to stand near Theodora's foal. At her side, her foal was suckling hungrily.

Arwen looked at Black Ice and backed away from the foal, letting Black Ice come closer again

"Oh, he thinks he's such a big stud already," Dour said, watching as Kongo stepped closer to them, squeaking and pawing. Dour stretched out his neck and whinnied loudly, sending Kongo skittering away. Between laughs, Dour said, "When you can do that, kid, then you're a stud."

"Don't laugh!" Annalise scoffed. Her head dropped to the groud and she blew at a few blades of grass. She snuggled up against Dour.
