"I suppose I am the lead mare, then," Feather said, quizicaly, to Onyx.
"Yes." Onyx nickered, and smiled at Feather. Then he looked out over the stretch of land. "I'll have to fight for territory..." He murmured, fear hinted his voice.

Gypsy's head shot up, when she heard Kaliska's whinny. "My daughter." She nickered, to the mare. "Sounds like she's in trouble. Please excuse me!" Gypsy turned and sprinted away, her hooves were moving so fast, it seemed like she wasn't touching the ground.

She reached the waterfall in a surprisingly short amount of time, and it only took her a second to understand the scene she saw before her: Two strange stallions, one that obviously had intentions of snaking away mares, Rebel and Lance, Kaliska, and Sierra, with worried faces.
"What's going here?!?!" She bellowed. Her ears were pinned flat against her head, her eyes blazed with fury, and her teeth were bared. She wasn't much bigger than the stallions, and was certainly in no condition to fight them off because of her foal, which was due in a week. I have to intimidate them. She thought. Gypsy took a threatening step towards the stallions, and Kaliska and Sierra bolted to her side, and copied her body language.
Marcy stumbled through the bushes, searching for water. Her daughter, Clarisse, lead the way. Marcy's sky-blue eyes couldn't see a thing. (She's blind!) Her bulging stomach made it difficult to manuver. Her foal would be here soon. A month, maybe. Clarisse stopped, suddenly. "Mama," she breathed. "There's water!"
