Feather nodded, trying to find out what he was thinking.Onyx nodded, deep in thought. Where would his mares go when he was fighting for territory? He had to find somewhere safe, soon.
Champ loped around, blood dripping from his sleek golden coat. He had just been chased by wild dogs, and only just escaped. He lifted his head, and scented the air. The scent of a mare reached his nose and he wuffled. He moved into a collected canter, and headed towards the scent.Holly trotted around bachelor territory happily stopping by clovers and eating them.

"Yes, I have," Feather said. "On my way down from the mountain, I saw prime territory.""Have you seen anywhere that would make good territory?" Onyx asked.
Rain and Sahara trotted to the same lake too. Rain scented the air for other horses, and then, satisfied that no one was nearby (Marcy and Clarisse are down wind), she lowered her head to drink. "Mama," she breathed. "There's water!"
Champ loped towards the mare, his head tucked, and he lifted his hooves in a light prance. "Hello." He said, his voice smooth.Holly looked up smelling another horse.
Onyx's ears pricked forward. "Is it in the valley?""Yes, I have," Feather said. "On my way down from the mountain, I saw prime territory."
