GALS OR GUYS? Help me please!

These are my two Plymouth Rock chicks now around 6 weeks old. They act very roostery, stand up right, battle each other frequently, starting to go red in the face. Can anyone confirm my suspicions? Thanks in advance.

Posture sure looks as if they are cockerels. Do they have single or rose combs? They almost look like Dominiques when I enlarge the picture.

I'm thinking that both are cockerels, though I can't see the face of one of them as well. The coloring isn't particularly roosterish (generally they're a little lighter in color), but I would say that both are males based on stance and face redness.

@ Wyandottes, the coloring is throwing me off too..

They both look like cockerels to me, though I admit that the coloring is darker than that of most males. Also, they appear to be Dominiques, not Plymouth rocks.

What makes you think they are dominiques? What characterizes the difference between the two breeds?

Barred rocks have single combs - Dominiques have rose combs.

thanks for that,the lady i bought them off is a reputable breeder and sold them to me as Plymouth Rocks.
So everyone still agrees that these are most likely roosters?
