game birds personality??

are game birds like asils malays and shamos friendly when they are in a flock of all hens? iv heard they have a nasty temperament but others say they are every smart and friendly. What type of game bird would you say is the most friendly and none aggressive but thats not a bantam? Could a asil be in a flock with a silkkei roo silkie pullets and cochins? do you think with enough handeling they could be good with kids

If they are raised with other birds, they tend to get along fine. If you take an established adult and toss it in a pen with other birds, you're going to have problems. Games are great with people but tend to be very territorial against other chickens, even the hens. I have some hens that are fine being with other hens, and some that aren't so they have to be in pens by themselves or allowed to free range a large acreage (plenty of room to establish "territories").

There's no sure way of knowing, unless the breeder lets you know. Even in that instance, come the first rain, things could change!

If you want a more docile game, get one that was bred for exhibition (APA showing, etc..). Those tend to be the most easy natured. Size wise, an Asil would be closer to your silkies. Malay or Shamo may unintentionally hurt them if they got underfoot.

ETA - I have an asil stag (cockerel), he's never been handled much, but is quite friendly with peoples of all ages. I wouldn't worry so much about them being "nasty" with people, 'cause 99.9% of the time the oriental games aren't like that.
