Does the extreme cold not mess with their functionality? Do the batteries drain faster?

these ones are cold blooded, 20 ducks in 2 months. all hens but one.
barely even ate any, just killed what they could, took one and left

not really a trail camera or a picture, but this what was trying to go after the ( asshole ) leghorns that used to roost in that tree ( until they went to freezer camp ). managed to pull off all the tail feathers except for one on of them but my dad came out in time for it to let go and run off.
