I've found gamebird crumbles and pellets. Can anyone tell me the difference, and is one better than the other? This would be for a golden pheasant. Thanks!

Crumble is best for chicks and adults should be on the pellet. It's the same feed in different form.Pheasant chicks should be on a gamebird crumble and not a chick starter mash.

It's pretty much an individuals choice for adult birds. If your adults scratch a lot of mash out of their feeders its better and cheeper to use the pellets since you have less waist and better sanitation. Chicks should always be on mash and all birds should be fed high protein (22%) or better feed game bird or turkey feed.

I hope you mean chicks should be on crumble not mash.
